Research Abstract

有明海湾奥部の干潟-浅海域の冬季赤潮形成種に対する潮流の影響について、調査した結果、珪藻と渦鞭毛藻類が潮流に対して対照的な時空間分布を示し、鞭毛藻類は潮流による水塊の移流に伴う水平的な移動が卓越し、一方、珪藻は鉛直的な巻き上げの影響を強く受けていることが明らかとなった.また赤潮形成種に対する動物プランクトンの捕食圧の違いについて、現場培養実験を行った結果、渦鞭毛藻類Prorocentrum triestinum、珪藻Thalassiosiraは選択的に捕食され、近年、増加が懸念されている渦鞭毛藻類のAkashiwo sanguineaは捕食されにくいことが判明した.
