Research Abstract

北西部北太平洋および北東部日本海沿岸域への陸起源物質の主な供給源として考えられる主要河川で、河川水中の懸濁物および河川底堆積物を採取し、陸起源粒子状有機物(陸起源POM)中の放射性炭素同位体比の地理的な分布を明らかにした。本研究で得たデータは、海水中POMの分析結果と比較することにより、当該海域におけるPOMの「年齢」の変動因子を推定するとともに、POM輸送の時間スケールを見積もった。
