Research Abstract

本研究は、近世期の琵琶湖における民衆の生業のうち、主たる生業であった舟運・鳥猟・漁業・藻取り・葭取りに着目し、舟運からみた湖面(A)、鳥猟からみた湖面上空(B)、および漁業・藻取り・葭取りからみた湖面(C)の利用実態、およびその編成秩序について、3年間にわたって検討したものである。研究の結果、湖面(A)〜(C)のそれぞれには、民衆による利用実態、幕藩領主による編成の両面において、異なる秩序が存在し、琵琶湖が諸権利の重層的する空間であることが明らかになった。
