Research Abstract

アメリカは社会保障を関する法律を世界で始めて制定した国であるにもかかわらず、その福祉国家は不十分な内容しか備えていないと評されている。それは、公的な医療保険制度が一部の貧困者と高齢者を除いて制度化されていないことに加えて、公的扶助政策が少数の貧困者にしか提供されていないからである。本研究プロジェクトは、アメリカの独特の福祉国家の特徴がいかにして生み出されてきたのかを、歴史的経緯にさかのぼって検討している。
