| Research Abstract |
本研究課題では,以下のような成果を得ることができた。(1)英語圏における住居研究の現状を明らかにした。(2)近代日本における住居研究の系譜と残された課題を明らかにした。(3)社会学の視点から住居という空間を把握し,その構成と変容をとらえる理論的・方法論的な枠組みを構築した。これらの成果は,住居研究を文化の社会学的研究のなかに位置づけ,現代日本社会をフィールドとした研究へと展開するための足がかりになると思われる。
