Research Abstract

本研究の目的は、乳幼児の言語と情動の発達を促進する歌唱音声について、その音響的・言語学的特徴と、発達を促すメカニズムを解明することであった。研究成果として(1)母親から乳児に向けた歌唱音声は、テンポが安定して遅くなる傾向を持つのに対し、高さは乳児の月齢に応じた変化を示すこと、(2)高さの変化に対して乳児が能動的に注意を向ける反応は見いだされなかったが、高さの変化に気づいてはいること、(3)母親の朗読音声よりも歌唱音声のほうが乳児を落ち着かせなだめる効果が高いこと、が示された。さらに幼児を対象とした実験により(4)歌聴取が非母語の音声獲得に効果を持つことも示された。
