Research Abstract

価数転移の量子臨界点近傍の近藤領域で、超伝導相関が増大することを、正確な数値計算によって示した。そのメカニズムは既存のものと異なり、電荷圧縮率の増大を伴わない、電子のコヒーレンスの増大による新しいタイプの機構であることを見出した。磁場によって価数転移、及びその量子臨界点がどのように制御されるのか、その機構を明らかにした。これにより、CeIrIn_5やYbXCu_4 (X=In, Ag, Cd)でこれまで謎とされてきた奇妙な磁場応答の起源を、自然に説明することができた。CeやYbを含む系での未解明の磁場応答を理解する上での鍵となる概念が明らかとなった。
