Research Abstract

近年注目されている希土類・アクチノイド化合物の新奇な電子物性の発現機構を調べる目的で、純良単結晶を用いて、超高圧・強磁場・極低温といった複合極限条件下における電気抵抗測定や強磁場中における放射光を用いた(非)共鳴x線散乱、中性子回折などの手法で研究を行った。その結果、NpTGa_5(T: 遷移金属)において5f電子軌道の寄与を反映した新奇な電子状態、UCu_2Si_2のスピン・電荷秩序共存状態、RPd_5Al_2(R: Np, Ce)の重い電子系超伝導など数々の物質の電子状態を明らかにした。また超ウラン化合物に加圧可能な高圧装置、さらにこの技術を応用し、より高圧力を発生できるダイヤモンドアンビル型高圧装置を開発した。
