Research Abstract

回転系における重力流を再現することの出来るストリームチューブモデルと現在までに蓄積されている各種の観測データを使用して、東アジア縁辺海(日本海、オホーツク海、東シナ海)における大陸棚斜面に沿う海水の沈降過程を調べた。特にどのような力学場が形成されることで海水沈降が可能となっているのかについて焦点をあてて考察し、現在までに時空間的に断片的にしか得られていない観測的な知見を補完した。
