Research Abstract

今まで申請代表者が開発を進めてきた大気レーダーを用いた水蒸気推定法を発展させ、実際の気象予報モデルに同化することで予報精度向上を目指す基礎技術の技術開発を行うことを目的とした。
数値予報モデルのデータ同化手法である変分法に着目し、大気レーダーを用いた水蒸気推定手法に変分法を組み込むようにアルゴリズム改良を行った。さらに、従来のラジオゾンデ観測の時間補間値に代わって気象予報モデルの予報値を第一推定値とする新しいアルゴリズムを開発し、ラジオゾンデなしで推定を行う手法を開発した。これにより一般的なウインドプロファイラを用いた水蒸気推定を行う技術基盤を開発した。
