Research Abstract

氷およびクラスレートハイドレートの水素原子の配置を中性子回折および散乱の実験で研究した。水素が秩序化する温度と圧力の条件を新たに明らかにした。また、結晶内部の拡散と秩序化の機構を原理的に解明した。これらの結果に基づき、宇宙に強誘電体の氷が広く存在するとの仮説を発表し、その実証に向けた実験と観測計画を提案した。
