Research Abstract

近年の高度情報化社会の急速な発展を支えて来たシリコントランジスタの限界を超えるアプローチの一つに,電子のスピン自由度を利用した新しいエレクトロニクス-半導体スピントロニクス-がある.
そのような半導体スピントロニクス素子の開発において具体的な設計指針を与えるような,原子レベルの材料特性に基いた信頼性のあるシミュレータの開発を行った.
それを用いて,スピントロニクス材料の一つである狭ギャップ半導体を用いた素子,及びグラフェンナノリボン素子のシミュレーションを行い,それらにおける特性を明らかにした.
