Research Abstract

銀河の進化におけるガス(分子ガスを含む)の役割の重要性が明らかにされた。分子雲形成は、銀河スケールの現象と星スケールの現象をつなぐ中間スケールの現象として、どちらにも重要な役割を果たしていると考えられるが、その重要性が、具体的な観測事実と理論モデルとの比較を通じて、明らかにされた。
