Research Abstract

昨年度はボリルリチウムの構造と反応性に関して新たな知見を得た。溶媒にTHFを使用して発生させたボリルリチウムの単結晶についてX線結晶構造解析を行ったところ、2分子のTHFがLi原子に配位した構造が得られてきた。単離したこの結晶をTHF-d_8に溶解させたところ、先のDME配位の結晶を溶解させたときと全く同じNMRスペクトルが得られてきた。この溶液の低温NMR測定を行ったところ、11B NMRにおいてシグナルの高磁場シフトを観測し、との変化が可逆であることもわかった。この現象を理解するために計算化学によってボリルリチウムにTHFが配位した構造の11B NMR化学シフト計算を行ったところ、THFの個数が少ないほど高磁場にシフトするという傾向が得られた。現在のところこの高磁場シフトは11B核の化学シフト異方性に由来するものだと考えており、今後は固体高分解能NMRの測定を通じてさらに詳細を明らかにする。一方で、ボリルリチウムと各種有機化合物の反応性に関して系統的に調べた。カルボニル化合物との反応においては、ボリルリチウムは対応する炭素求核種と同様の反応性を示し、ボリルカルボニル化合物等が得られてきた。これらの化合物中でボリル基は非常に電子供与性が高いことも明らかになった。さらにボリルリチウムを用いて、遷移金属塩化物錯体に対して求核的にボリル配位子を導入することで、新たなボリル錯体合成法を確立することにも成功した。
