Research Abstract

1.N-Hアミド結合とN-アルキルアミド結合を交互に有するポリ(ρ-ベンズアミド)の合成を検討し、高分子量のポリマーを得る方法を確立した。さらにN-アルキル鎖としてキラルなオリゴエチレングリコール基を導入したポリアミドが高い溶解性を示したため、様々な溶媒中におけるCDスペクトルを測定し、ポリマーのコンフォメーションに対する溶媒の効果を調べた。その結果、DMFやDMSOなどの非プロトン性極性溶媒中では、このポリマーは一方向巻きに偏ったらせん構造をとっていることが示唆された。一方、このポリマーはメタノールおよびクロロホルムの単一溶媒には溶解しなかったが、それらの混合溶媒には溶解した。その混合溶媒中でのCDスペクトルは溶媒の組成比を変えると波形が変化したことより、溶媒の組成によってコンフォメーションが変化することを明らかにした。
2.不斉点が窒素原子から1個目(α位)の炭素上にあるキラル側鎖を有するポリ(ρ-ベンズアミド)の合成法を確立し、CDスペクトルにより溶液中のコンフォメーションを調べた。その結果、水からアセトニトリル、THFへと測定溶媒の極性を下げていくとCD強度が弱くなったことから、このポリマーは溶媒の極性が上がると一方向巻きにより偏ったらせんコンフォメーションを構築することが示唆された。一方、最も極性の低いクロロホルム中のCDスペクトルは他の溶媒中とは全く異なる波形を示した。このことから、このポリマーはクロロホルム中では他の溶媒中とは異なるコンフォメーションであることを明らかにした。
