Research Abstract

多糖水溶液を金属イオンによってゲル化させる際に、そのポリマー濃度、金属イオン濃度、サンプル量を変えることによって、多種多様な形態がゲルする際に自発的に形成される。この自発的なゲル形態の形成は、ゲルを形作るポリマーと内部の水の親和性が低下することで生じ、このポリマーのゲル化によって形態が固定化されることが分かった。つまり、水とポリマーの親和性を変えることで様々なユニークな模様をゲル内及び表面に形成できることが確認された。
