Research Abstract

微細な液晶の配向パターンが得られるマイクロラビング処理において,その処理時間を短縮し大面積処理に適用するための新たな手法を提案した。すなわち,ラビングの密度による液晶の配向制御法である。本手法を用いて焦点距離が印加電圧により可変である液晶レンズが実現され,その作製時間は従来の等しい面積の液晶デバイスの作製時間の1/10以下であると見積もられた。
