Research Abstract

本研究は、トルコ共和国(1923-)の現代モスクにオスマン風デザインが多用される様々な背景について考察を行った。 オスマン風デザインはイスラームを連想させるデザインとして、敬虔な宗教層に支持される傾向にある。ただし全てのオスマン風デザインの事例がイスラームを連想させようと意識的に用いられているとまでは言えず、この問題に対する学界や建築家の消極的な姿勢や、モスク建設特有の限られた資金事情とも深く関係している。
