Research Abstract

湖沼生態系において、突発的に起こる不連続な富栄養化には沿岸帯に生息する沈水性の沿岸帯植物が関与している。沿岸帯植物の不連続な富栄養化にたいする関与として、(1)湖底に根を張ることにより湖底から栄養塩であるリンの再循環を抑制して植物プランクトンの増殖を抑える効果と、(2)動物プランクトンに棲み場所を提供して植物プランクトンへの摂食圧を高める効果が知られている。本研究ではこれら二つの効果に関して、湖沼形態(面積・水深・湖盆の形状)を考慮した数理モデルを構築し、湖沼形態に応じた不連続な富栄養化の可能性を予測するモデルを構築した。
