Research Abstract

高等植物には、光化学系IIのサブユニットであるPsbPに加え、そのホモログタンパク質が多数存在する。シロイヌナズナを材料に、これらPsbPドメインプロテインファミリーをコードする遺伝子の転写プロファイル解析を行い、遺伝子欠損変異体を用いて機能解析を行った結果、PsbPドメインプロテインには光化学系IIのストレス応答に関わるものと、循環的電子伝達経路を担う葉緑体NAD(P)H dehydrogenasseに関わるものがあることを明らかにした。
