Research Abstract

チャバネゴキブリは雌雄それぞれが接触化学性フェロモンを分泌し、相手のフェロモンを化学受容・識別して配偶行動を示す。しかし化学受容を担う感覚器は特定されておらず、フェロモンがどのように情報処理されるかは不明であった。本研究では雌雄それぞれにおいて、接触化学性フェロモンの受容に関与する感覚器を、オスでは触角上、メスでは口器上で特定した。またフェロモンに対する感覚器の電気生理学的な応答を調べ、フェロモンの情報処理メカニズムを明らかにした。オスの化学感覚器においては、分子生物学的手法を用いて化学受容に関与するオス特異的な機能蛋白質を探索したが、これは発見には至らなかった。
