Research Abstract

裸子植物のグネツムの胚珠における胚珠形成に関わる遺伝子の発現を観察し, 他の裸子植物の胚珠での遺伝子発現と比較した. その結果, 形態形成に関与する遺伝子の発現が胚珠軸の節間の短縮過程を反映している可能性が示された. 被子植物においては胚珠軸の短縮過程がこれまで明らかになっていなかったが, 裸子植物での結果を当てはめることで, 内珠皮と外珠皮の間にあった節間が短縮されカラザが形成されたと推定された.
