Research Abstract

研究代表者らは腸内連鎖球菌に存在するNa+輸送性V 型ATPase の分子生物学的・生化学的・構造生物学的研究を展開し、膜タンパク質部分であるNtpKリングのX線結晶構造解析に成功していた。本研究では本酵素のイオン輸送機構の解明を目的に、Li+結合型及び阻害剤DCCD結合型のNtpKリングのX線結晶構造を明らかにした。これらの構造と生化学的解析から、本酵素のイオン結合/解離のメカニズムが明らかになった。
