Research Abstract

冠根の発生に関わる遺伝的・生理的メカニズムを解析するために、冠根数が著しく減少するイネcrown rootless(crl)突然変異体を用い、その特徴解析および原因遺伝子の単離と機能解析を試みた。その結果、イネの冠根形成は植物ホルモンの1つであるオーキシンの輸送、およびシグナル伝達系で機能する遺伝子によって誘導されることが明らかとなった。
