Research Abstract

本研究は植物が本来有する害虫に対する免疫機構を強化することで「害虫に強い植物」の開発を目指すものである。具体的には害虫に対する免疫機構を制御している有用な転写制御因子を選抜し、利用することで「害虫に強い植物」の開発を目指した。その結果、転写因子候補を遺伝子導入した幾つかのラインにおいて実際にアザミウマによる虫害に対する耐性度の上昇が認められ、「害虫に強い植物」の開発の道筋を確立することができた。
