Research Abstract |
本研究ではウシ胎子脳から機能性細胞株を樹立し、その特性解析を行うとともに牛海綿状脳症(BSE)研究への利用を検討した。その結果、内皮細胞様及び神経細胞様の性質を持つ新しいウシ脳由来細胞株を樹立した。これらの細胞には正常ウシプリオン蛋白の発現が確認され、BSE 研究への利用も期待された。そこでBSE プリオン感染実験を行ったが、現在までのところ持続感染細胞の樹立には至っておらず引き続き検討が必要である。
