Research Abstract

勾配磁界によって常磁性酸素分子に作用する磁気力を利用して,冠水した植物へ酸素を供給し,植物の発育を促進させることを目指した.研究の前半では,酸素,アンモニア水,銅の化学反応で生成される錯体の濃度から,勾配磁界中で溶存酸素の拡散が加速されることを確認した.次に,常磁性酸素分子に作用する磁気力を利用して,冠水したタイム(Thymus vulgaris L.)実生への酸素供給を行う研究を実施した.その結果,勾配磁界によって酸素分子に作用する磁気力を利用して,冠水植物へ酸素供給するという手法は,タイム実生の根の成長には影響を及ぼさないことが明らかとなった.
