Research Abstract

プロラクチン放出ペプチド(PrRP)は哺乳類の摂食行動を抑制する脳内神経ペプチドである。本研究では、PrRPがニワトリヒナの摂食行動を促進することを見出し、PrRPの作用が哺乳類とは異なることを明らかにした。さらにその作用機序を調べたところ、PrRPはニワトリヒナの他の脳内摂食促進神経ペプチドとは明らかに異なる機構で摂食行動を促進することを見出し、PrRPによるヒナ独自の脳内摂食促進機構の存在を明らかにした。
