Research Abstract

本研究では泌乳牛ホルスタイン種の泌乳持続性向上のために、乳汁を合成する乳腺上皮細胞の活性化およびアポトーシスに関わる因子の解析を行った。乳腺上皮細胞において低分子量heat shock proteinであるalpha-B-クリスタリンが乳タンパク質の発現に関与していることを明らかにした。また、乳腺の血管新生を促進する血管内皮増殖因子VEGFの発現が、乳タンパク質と同様に泌乳関連ホルモンにより制御されることを明らかにした。
