Research Abstract

Ataxia and Male Sterility(AMS)マウスは自己免疫疾患モデルマウスであるMRL/lpr に自然発症した失調症と雄性不妊を二大症状とするミュータントである。その病変責任遺伝子であるNnal遺伝子機能発現が、細胞の生死にどのように係っているのかを、網膜に光傷害を意図的に加え、視細胞死のあり方を検討した。TUUNEL法、ssDNA免疫染色、走査電子顕微鏡の結果より、視細胞死がアポトーシスであることが明らかとなった。このことはams変異の効果が、光傷害で誘導されるアポトーシスの感受性を亢進させるように表れているのではないかと思われる。
