Research Abstract

エネルギー代謝器官である肝臓を研究対象とし、肝臓リズム測定方法を確立した。尿中胆汁酸(urinary bile acid, UBA)量は肝機能を反映し、非侵襲的な肝機能指標となることを明らかにした。UBAは日内変動し、肝臓リズム指標としても有用である。また、肝硬変を起こしたラットを解析し、行動量・リズム、情動、知的機能の障害といった肝性脳症様の症状を検出した。生体リズム異常と肝性脳症発症の関連を示唆する結果である。
