Research Abstract

正常骨格筋への最終分化が抑制された結果、異常増殖しているという特性を有する横紋筋肉腫の発がん機構の解明を目指し、横紋筋肉腫において特異的にメチル化されている遺伝子の同定を行った。今後、この遺伝子を標的とした分化誘導療法を含めた新規治療法の開発は、予後不良な横紋筋肉腫治療開発のブレークスルーとして、また、患者の血清DNAを用いた同定遺伝子のメチル化解析は予後判定を含めた非侵襲的検査として、期待される。
