Research Abstract

我々はレット症候群モデルマウスにおいて脳内アミン濃度増加が障害されることを示したが、本研究により各モノアミン神経細胞数の減少は伴わないことが示された。これらの神経細胞の発生にMecp2遺伝子欠損は影響を与えないがその後の成熟が障害されていると予想に矛盾しない結果であった。またモデルマウスにおいて脳内葉酸濃度の減少傾向を認めたが、ロイコボリン投与において症状出現、脳重量、脳内モノアミン濃度は改善しなかった。
