Research Abstract

レビー小体型認知症(DLB)では、幻視や視覚認知障害などの特徴的な症状がみられるが、こうした症状の病理学的背景は明らかではなかった。今回の研究ではDLBの剖検脳の免疫組織化学を用いた検討を行った。今回の研究によって、DLBでは、脳血管障害の有無によって初発症状に違いが認められること、また島皮質や傍内嗅皮質に多数の病変が認められこれらの病変から視覚野に至る経路の障害が幻視や視覚認知障害に関与していることが明らかになった。
