Research Abstract |
VEGF-A_<121> induced activations of pro-MMP-9, pro-MMP-2, active-MMP-2 dose dependently in Human gingival fibroblast. The other side, VEGF-A 165 has no activation of them. From these results, VEGF-A_<121> may relate to periodontal inflammatory exacerbation. But in this study, VEGF doesn't show uPA up-regulation. Therefore, it suggested that activations of pro-MMP-9, pro-MMP-2, active-MMP-2 by VEGF-A_<121> relate to periodontal inflammatory exacerbation.
