Research Abstract

本研究は、第2子妊娠期から出産後において、まだ幼い第1子を育児しながら第2子を迎える母親および父親がどのように2児の親になっていくのか、その役割変化適応過程の相違を明らかにすることを目的として行った。研究方法は、半構成的面接法を用いた縦断的調査である。母親および父親8組を対象に、妊娠末期、産後1〜2ヶ月、産後6〜7ヶ月の計3回、インタビューを行ったが、うち2組は研究対象の条件から逸脱したため、分析対象は6組となった。インタビュー内容を逐語録に起こし質的記述的に内容分析を行った結果、産前においては、母親と父親の第2子を迎えることに対する意識の違いが見られたが、産後6ヶ月〜7ヶ月においては、母親と父親の意識が類似している様子が伺われた。また、第2子の出産後に、お互いに対し、親としておよびパートナーとしての信頼が深くなったことが語られた。第2子を迎える過渡期における母親および父親は、第2子の誕生を通して、より親としての意識が高まったと語り、その過程においては、第1子の妊娠・出産の時とは異なるサポートを必要としていることがわかった。助産師は、初産婦とは異なるニーズを把握し、経産婦独自のサポート体制を整える必要があることが示唆された。
