Research Abstract

素粒子の標準模型は多くの実験結果を説明し大成功を収めたが、暗黒物質の存在・宇宙の物質の存在・ニュートリノ質量という重要な問題を説明できないという欠点を抱えており、多くの拡張模型が提案されている。本研究では、この中でどのような拡張模型が正しいかを調べるため、宇宙論的な観点からこれらの模型の是非について研究を行った。
超対称模型においてウィーノ(Wボソンの超対称粒子)が暗黒物質候補であるなら非摂動論的な効果で暗黒物質の熱的残存量が大きく変わることを発見した。超対称模型がニュートリノ質量を説明できる枠組みへと拡張された際に、右巻きニュートリノの存在から宇宙の物質の存在をどのように説明するかについて研究を行った。
UED模型がニュートリノ質量を説明するべく拡張されたときに、暗黒物質の残存量にどのような寄与をするか詳細に調べた。この結果、余次元の大きさとHiggs粒子の質量がどの範囲であるべきかを明らかにした。UED模型の動機は暗黒物質を説明することであるため、今回の結果は加速器実験でどのパラメータ領域を探すべきかを明らかにしたという理由で非常に重要である。
初期宇宙にニュートリノ、アクシオン、グラヴィティーノ(重力子の超対称粒子)のような相互作用の弱い粒子が存在したときに、宇宙論への影響を調べ、質量結合定数等にどのような制限が課せられるかについても調べた。これらの制限の多くは特定の模型に対する制限ではなく、このような粒子を持つ模型へ一般的に課せられる制限であることから重要である。
