Outline of Annual Research Achievements

本研究では拡張ヒッグス模型で結合定数に対する2ループレベルの精密計算等を行う事により、将来実験を用いて電弱対称性破れの機構を解明するとともに標準理論を超えた新物理を探求する。ヒッグス粒子は発見されたが対称性の破れの根幹のヒッグスポテンシャルは未検証である。その構造と性質は新物理と密接に関連する。例えば電弱バリオン数生成シナリオでは強い一次的相転移が要求される為拡張ヒッグス模型が必要になるが、一次相転移が実現する場合には数10%の1ループ補正がヒッグス自己結合(3点結合)に現れるので、将来加速器で検証できると期待される。本研究は世界で初めて拡張ヒッグス模型の3点結合を2ループで計算する。重力波による1次相転移の検証可能性等も研究し、多角的にヒッグスポテンシャルに迫るタイムリーで重要な研究である。ニュートリノ質量や暗黒物質を同時説明する新模型を各種実験により絞り込む研究も行う。

2020年度は、新しく古典的スケール不変性を持つ拡張スカラー模型(NスカラーCSI模型とヒッグス2重項が2個含まれるCSIモデル)を研究を修士課程2年生の下田誠氏との3人の共同研究として実施した。2015年に受け入れ研究者が研究したC S Iモデルに関する1ループ計算の研究を精査し、ついで2ループレベルの摂動計算に進んだ。古典的スケール不変性に基づく理論では、自己結合に対する1ループ補正は模型の詳細によらず66%程度の補正となることが知られていたが、我々の今回の研究によって、2ループレベルの補正によって模型の詳細によるユニバーサリティからのずれが発生し、そのずれが20-30%になることを示した。成果は論文として出版し、世界各地で開催された国際会議やセミナー等で多数の研究発表をおこなった。
