Outline of Annual Research Achievements |
The interplay of topology and magnetism is become the emerging frontier in fundamental quantum physics. Therefore, as a basis of my research, I have grown new crystals of topological magnets by manipulating the crystal symmetry, spin orbit coupling, and magnetic structure. Control over these parameters allows one to realize a wide variety of topological phases which includes Dirac/Weyl semimetal state and Fermi-arc surface states etc. So far, a rare anomalous Hall effect in co-linear aniferromagnetic spins structure is observed which is a big step forward on achieving ultra-fast spintronic devices. In the sector of clean energy harvesting, we are successful to achieve large Nernst effect at room temperature. Some of these work as JSPS fellow is in the process of communication.
