Outline of Annual Research Achievements

本研究では、素粒子標準理論では説明ができない残された大きな問題の一つであるニュートリノ振動の問題を検討する。
この問題はニュートリノ微小質量の生成機構を持つ新理論を考案する問題に帰着する。本研究では、ニュートリノ振動問題と同時に、暗黒物質やバリオン数生成を説明する物理模型を探究し、候補の模型を現行及び将来実験で検証する研究を行う。

最終年度の2020年度は、前年度に引き続いて331模型に関する研究を完了した。この論文は2020年9月にアメリカの論文雑誌フィジカルレビュー誌から出版された。ついで、右巻きニュートリノの崩壊現象に関する先行研究を取り調べ、ついでレプトンとの随伴生成や、U(1)X模型等の新物理モデルに現れるゲージ粒子Z'が媒介する右巻きニュートリノの対生成過程の断面積等を計算した。LHCなどのハドロンコライダーにおけるレプトンとの随伴生成から始め、その後で国際リニアコライダー等を用いたZ'粒子からの右巻きニュートリノの生成と崩壊現象を通じた検証可能性を検討した。このモデルでは、ニュートリノ質量は通常のシーソー機構によって説明される。また、理論に含まれるディラックタイプの質量を持つフェルミオン粒子がU(1)X対称性の量子数によって安定に存在し得る為、暗黒物質候補になり得ることを発見した。そこで、理論に現れる新しいゲージボソンのL H C実験における探索から来る制限と、暗黒物質の現在の宇宙残存量のデータ等を用いて、この模型の許されるパラメータ領域を理論計算と数値解析によって明らかにした。これらの成果は、新しい論文として2020年11月に完成し、現在欧州の論文雑誌に投稿中である。本特別研究員は、大阪大学に滞在した2年あまりの期間に、世界各地で開催された国際会議やセミナー等で多数の研究発表(2020年は概ねオンライン会議)を行った。
