Outline of Annual Research Achievements

本研究の材料として、アジアに広く分布する赤紫蘇とナミテントウを用いて、2つの室内実験と1つの野外実験を実施した。室内実験1)餌と花を両方与えたときの天敵の産卵数に与える影響
ナミテントウ成虫に人工餌だけを与えたもの、2)人工餌と紫蘇の花を与えたもの、3)紫蘇の花のみを与えたものの3つのカテゴリーで比較したとこと、1)人工餌、2)人工餌と紫蘇の花のカテゴリーのナミテントウは、3)紫蘇の花のみを与えたカテゴリーの個体よりも産卵数や産卵の頻度が高くなり、更に1回目の産卵を比べると、2)人工餌と紫蘇の花のカテゴリーのナミテントウは、1)人工餌のみのナミテントウよりも多く産卵することが示された。ナミテントウは1つの生息場所に3日程度滞在することが知られていることから、花と餌が同時に存在するような生息場所では、花は天敵の産卵数を増加する可能性が示された。
2)天敵の羽化初期に与える餌の影響ナミテントウ新成虫羽化後3日間1)人工餌だけを与えたもの、2)紫蘇の花だけを与えたもの、3)絶食させたものの3つのカテゴリーをつくり、3日後90日間十分な餌を与えて、産卵数に違いがあるか否かを調べた。その結果、3つのカテゴリーで産卵数に違いはなく、羽化直後の餌の状態は、テントウムシの産卵数に影響を与えないことが示された。
野外実験 日本における花に誘引される昆虫群集の研究
環境の異なる、京都3カ所(修学院、北白川試験地、理学部付属植物園)、及び岡山県赤磐市(2カ所)、計5カ所で、赤紫蘇(5鉢)及びキャベツの苗(5鉢)を設置し、その付近にマレイズトラップ(高さ1.5m、幅1m、5個)を設置し、赤紫蘇及びキャベツの苗に誘引される昆虫群集の調査を行った。その結果5目180個体の天敵、寄生蜂、花粉媒介者が捕獲され、昆虫群集と環境との関係を、現在解析中である。
