Outline of Annual Research Achievements

研究目的にある通り,Robert博士のフランスでの研究成果を発展させ,波動擾乱の東西波数展開に基づき,総観規模の移動性高低気圧波と大規模な準停滞性波動擾乱それぞれが担う運動量輸送や熱輸送によってもたらされる東西平均の西風ジェット気流の加速・減速としてのフィードバック強制の定式化が完成した.この成果について論文化へ向けた作業を続けた.一方,周期1週間以下の移動性高低気圧波とそれ以上の準停滞性波動擾乱,それぞれがもたらすフィードバック強制についても定式化が完了し,南半球中高緯度 対流圏の西風変動に卓越する環状モード変動の位相反転や正負位相の極大前後の西風加速反転に適用を続けた.しかし,新型コロナウィルス感染拡大による緊急事態宣言の下で研究活動が著しく滞ってしまい,そのまま帰国せざるを得なくなった.
