Outline of Final Research Achievements |
The purpose of this study was to elucidate, from a multilayered micro-macro perspective, the mechanisms of the impact brought about by measurement errors in the generation process of social psychology data. The aim was to establish a methodology for correcting data in a valid manner through statistical modeling. We approached this 'old' theme with a 'new' perspective that responds to the dramatically changing data collection environment in contemporary social psychology research. This was achieved through statistical modeling - understanding the mechanism of data generation and expressing it through probability distributions - which is a method for predicting data. We conducted research on three themes: demand characteristics, latent attitude measurement, and time-series comparison using different samples, and achieved results in each area.
