Outline of Final Research Achievements |
Consociating with local municipalities, we digitalized infant and school age health check-up records which have been abandoned for many years. Then, we built a database that can follow up the health of infants to junior high school students. As of March 2021, we have partnered with 146 local municipalities.
We used early childhood and school age health check-up data in Hofu City, to investigate the association of obesity at age 15 years with low/high birth weight, obesity in 3 years of age and obesity in mothers. In result, obesity in mothers and obesity at 3 years of age, but not birth weight, were associated with obesity at age 15 years.

Academic Significance and Societal Importance of the Research Achievements |
