| Outline of Final Research Achievements |
This research project aims to make the reliability of Web information verifiable by mapping quantitative data to information on the Web, and to automatically generate highly reliable information based on the relationship between quantitative data and Web information. To this end, this research project addressed the following three issues: 1. Understanding the "meaning" of quantitative data on the Web for completing missing values and incorrectly extracted data; 2. Discovering the correspondence between quantitative data and information described in text; 3. Based on the learned correspondence between quantitative data and information, automatically generating information useful for decision making from the quantitative data.
