Outline of Final Research Achievements

Diagnosis of cancer is necessary for the decision of cancer treatment for each patient. This study aimed to construct the molecular test information, which is required for differential diagnosis but scattered in many books, for the effective diagnostic workflow.
This system can easily investigate molecular test information of all cancers regardless of the clinical department. This system is expected to reduce information gaps due to differences in doctors' experience and specialties, and contribute to improving patient benefits by receiving appropriate treatment.

Academic Significance and Societal Importance of the Research Achievements

本研究成果として構築したシステムは、医師は、がんの鑑別診断の際に必要な最新の分子検査項目を迅速かつ的確に選択できるよう支援する。がんの診断そのものではなく、診断に必要な情報をがん種横断的に提供する本システムは、がんの診断業務を効率化することで、適切な時期に適切ながん治療を受けられるという患者の利益向上に貢献できることが期待される。また、会議録の速報性に着目した新たな情報分析手法は、確立された情報の少ないがん種の診断に有用な分子情報を見出せる可能性があり、シーズ探索としての学術的意義を有していると考える。
