Outline of Final Research Achievements |
Influence of frequent inter-tillage weeding on rice yield and soil condition in paddy field without fertilizers and agricultural chemicals has been investigated for 5 years. Frequent inter-tillage with rice straw application recovered the soil fertility well and the brown rice yield about 400g/m2 could be maintained. We have clarified strontium adsorption and transport phenomena in soil, based on theory and experiments. We have developed a simple and accurate measurement method for a surfactant, which is involved in pollution and cleanup, and clarified their adsorption and transport characteristics in soil.
