Outline of Annual Research Achievements

公平分割問題では, 異なる選好を持つ人々にどのように複数のアイテムを公平に配分するかを考える. 当該年度は, 公平分割問題に関して下記の三つの成果を残した. 第一に, 多くの既存研究ではプレイヤーの評価関数の単調性が仮定されているが, タスクの割当などのようにそのような仮定が成り立たない場合がある. そこで, プレイヤーの評価関数が必ずしも単調性を満たさないような公平分割問題を提案した. また, 近似的な公平性の概念を定義し, そのような公平な解を計算するための効率的なアルゴリズムを与えた. この成果は国際会議IJCAI2019に出版された. 第二に, プレイヤーが非対称性的である場合の公平分割問題について扱った. 例えば, 複数のグループに割り当てる際に, 構成員がたった1人のグループと100人のグループを同等に扱うのは, 無理がある. そこで, 各プレイヤーに, 重みが与えられているとして, 重みを考慮した公平性の概念を定義した. 全てのプレイヤーが同じ重みを持っている場合, 標準的な公平分割問題と一致する. 本研究では, 重みを考慮した場合も, 加法的な評価関数の下では, 近似的な公平性が効率的に計算できることを示した. また, 任意のプレイヤー数においてEF1とパレート最適性が両立することを示した. この成果は国際会議AAMAS2020 に出版された. 第三に, スケジューリングなどの, 複数の時間区画を分割する問題にについて考察した. 例えば, セミナーを行うための会議室を研究室に割り当てる際に, 同じ時間帯に複数の会議室を1つの研究室に割り当てても資源の無駄である. 本研究では, このような時間的な制約下における公平分割問題を提案し, 比較的広い評価関数のクラスで妬みのない分割方法の存在を示した. この成果は国際会議IJCAI2020に出版予定である.
