Outline of Annual Research Achievements

本研究では、鉛ペロブスカイトの代替材料として、より低毒なビスマスやアンチモンを用いた光電変換材料について研究を行った。昨年度までに、44組成のBi・Sb系化合物薄膜を実験的に作製・評価し、その中で、独自の溶液プロセスで成膜したアンチモンカルコハライド(SbSX)を用いた太陽電池では、本材料系において特に高い2.91%の変換効率が得られた。本年度は、①各試料の基礎物性と耐久性に関する追加実験、②統計的分析による素子性能支配因子の解明、③Ag-(Bi/M)-I系光電変換材料(M = Sb, Ga, In)の評価(共同研究)等に取り組んだ。
①追加の基礎物性評価として、EDXによる各試料の元素分析や膜厚測定を行い、各試料においておおよそ期待通りの元素組成・膜厚が得られることを確認した。また、特に優れた太陽電池性能を示したSbSX太陽電池において、性能の時間経過による変化を観察し、乾燥及び高湿度中での耐久性を明らかにした。
②基礎物性と素子性能の統計的分析を行った。TRMCや吸収フォトン数と素子性能との相関を調査し、その結果、光吸収量以上に電子・正孔輸送層への電荷輸送特性の差が太陽電池性能を強く支配することを見出した。以上の結果をもとに論文を執筆し、比較的高インパクトな雑誌であるChemistry of Materialsに受理・出版されるに至った。
③これまで主にアンチモンカルコハライド材料に注目して研究を行ってきたが、Ag-(Bi/M)-I系材料の研究にも携わった。A-Bi-I系材料はこれまでにも報告があったが、SbをAg-Bi-Iに導入することで素子性能の向上(1.26% → 1.82%)に成功した点は新規性が高い。本研究も論文受理・出版に至っている。
以上が本年度の主な実績であり、主著・共著合わせて6報の論文(全て査読あり)が受理・出版されるに至った。
