Outline of Annual Research Achievements

申請者は、特別研究員DC1の採用第3年度において、研究課題であるカイラル磁性体中の量子輸送現象についてより一層踏み込んだ研究をしてきた。特に、空間反転対称性のないカイラル磁性体において期待される非相反輸送現象や非線形光学応答の数値的計算を行った。
空間反転対称性と時間反転対称性が同時に破れたカイラル磁性体は非相反電気輸送現象や、非線形光学応答を示すことが知られている。非相反電流とは、流れる向きによって大きさが異なる電流であり、特徴的な非相反輸送現象の一つに電気的磁気カイラル効果と呼ばれるものがある。近年では、一軸的なカイラル磁性体に対して螺旋軸に平行な磁場をかけた場合に発現するカイラルコーン状態において非相反電流が実験的に観測され、外部磁場の向きによって整流方向が制御できるダイオードとしての応用が期待されている。また、非線形光学応答の例としては光起電力や第二次高調波発生が知られており、それぞれ太陽光電池や光学センサーなどへの応用が期待されている。申請者は、近年開発された高次の外場に対して応答を計算する手法を用いて、カイラルコーン状態における非線形電気輸送や非線形光学応答を調べた。その結果、カイラルな磁気テクスチャを反映した非相反な電気伝導度が現れることを理論的に明らかにし、その温度依存性についても詳細に調べることに成功した。さらに、カイラルコーン状態において光起電力や第二次高調波発生などの非線形光学応答が現れることを示し、その符号や振幅を外部磁場や周波数によって制御できることを見出した。これらの結果について、3件の学会発表を行っており、12月に行われた新学術領域研究「量子液晶の物性科学」領域研究会において第2回QLC若手研究奨励賞を受賞している。また、これらの研究成果について、現在、学術論文として発表する準備を進めている。
